Moon Ward was born from the Guardian’s Wand, using the same protective blend of dandelion, catmint, lavender and Palo Santo — but she was created for an entirely different purpose.
Where the Guardian’s Wand is burned to clear, protect, soothe and reset, Moon Ward remains whole.
At her centre is selenite — the Light Bringer. Ruled by the moon and traditionally associated with purification and clarity, selenite is believed to radiate a constant cleansing energy. Bound amongst the botanicals, it becomes the heart of the ward — like a battery, keeping their protective properties perpetually “turned on” and free from stagnant energy.
Dandelion brings resilience, catmint brings protection and calm, lavender brings purification and peace, and Palo Santo brings cleansing and protection. Selenite binds the work together from above.
Together, they create a barrier of both earth and sky protection.
Only 10 Moon Ward Wands were made in this batch, using botanicals grown and gathered in the Yarrow Moon garden. Once they are gone, this garden-grown batch cannot be recreated.
Unlike her larger sister, Moon Ward contains no Witch’s Window and is not intended as a burnable cleansing wand. She was created to remain intact: a permanent protective shield for the home, altar, bedside, doorway or personal space.
Keep her where you want the ward to remain.
If you ever choose to burn the botanicals, the selenite must be removed first.
